Although I was disappointed at the outcome of the recent Presidential election, I still believe in the power and the importance of voting. After the election was over, I signed up to receive the newsletters of all of the elected officials of my district. Even as a senior, I need to know what each of my elected officials is working on and how it impacts my community and my life. The Harris-Walz campaign were very clear, transparent and informative when it came to policies, in my view. They provided the information we needed to make a decision. I appreciated that. I wasn’t looking for entertainment. I was looking for information and it was made available. It is difficult to keep up with the news, especially because it is so toxic these days. However, without it, making a good decision is difficult.

So, voting matters. All elections matter. Even the local ones. I was reminded to pay attention, not just to the major campaigns, but the state and local ones as well.
